MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office has detained one of the suspects in the alleged corruption case repairing the Lombok Hajj Embarkation Dormitory.
Spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office for NTB Efien Saputra confirmed the detention of one of the suspects.
"Detention is part of the implementation of phase two of suspects, from investigators to public prosecutors," said Efien as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 8.
The suspect who is undergoing detention, he explained, is a woman with the initials DEK, the director of the company that won the building repair tender from CV. Great Paper.
He said the public prosecutor detained DEK at the Mataram Women's Correctional Institution (Lapas).
"So his status is at the Mataram Women's Prison as a prisoner entrusted by the prosecutor. His detention is carried out for the next 20 days," he said.
The woman from Malang, East Java, is one of the three suspects named by the prosecutor's investigators.
The other two, namely the former Head of UPT Hajj Embarkation Boarding Lombok Abdurrazak and the work executor with the initials WSB.
However, currently, Abdurrazak is undergoing trial at the Mataram Corruption Court. Meanwhile, WSB has not yet been arrested.
As a suspect, DEK is subject to Article 2 and/or Article 3 of Law Number 20/2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31/1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes (Tipikor).
One of the pieces of evidence that strengthens the three as suspects is the finding of state losses as a result of the calculation of the NTB Representative Office BPKP of IDR 2.65 billion. Losses arise due to overpayment for the lack of volume of work.
In the details, there was a loss from the rehabilitation of the building at UPT Hajj Dormitory in the amount of Rp. 1.17 billion; rehabilitation of hotel buildings Rp.373.11 million, rehabilitation of Mina Building Rp.235.95 million, rehabilitation of Safwa Building Rp.242.92 million, rehabilitation of Arofah Building Rp.290.6 million, and rehabilitation of PIH Building Rp.28.6 million.
The Lombok Embarkation Hajj Dormitory in 2019 received funds for the rehabilitation of the building. The physical project was previously found by the inspectorate based on the results of the follow-up to the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) with a loss of IDR 1.2 billion.
