The RFH Car That Collised With TNI And PJR Headquarters Vehicles Turns Out To Use Fake Number Plates To Avoid Odd Even

JAKARTA - The car with license plate B-1909-RFH was secured by the police for hitting a member of the PJR Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya and the official car of the TNI Headquarters in front of the Pancoran Toll Road on Friday, at around 14.00 WIB.

Plh Kasubdit Gakkum Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Edy Purwanto confirmed that the Daihatsu Terios B-1909-RFH car was a fake number plate. This was said after checking the vehicle data.

"The RFH used or installed is a fake plate (not legally issued), not accompanied by a special STNK or a valid secret," said Edy via text message, Saturday, August 6.

Edy explained that the fake number plate was purchased online by the driver. The goal is to avoid odd-even.

"According to the information in question, it was purchased online. The reason is to avoid odd-even," he concluded.

The RFH plate is a type of car plate used specifically by echelon II state officials or at the ministry director level. The officer intended to stop the driver of the car to conduct an inspection but was instead hit.

Head of PJR Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Sutikno said the police's suspicions started from the strobe installed in the car.

"Yes, if the secret plate car is not allowed to use a strobe. Those who are allowed to use it are official cars. Police and TNI are allowed. If the secret plate car is not allowed to have a strobe," said Sutikno.

But when stopped, the driver of the car actually tried to run away and hit the officer.

The car driver then tried to escape by crossing the toll road in the direction of North Jakarta to Bintara, Bekasi.

Furthermore, Sutikno explained that the escape of the driver with the RFH number plate finally stopped after the toll road was closed.

"On the Cakung toll road, there are still my members too. So I contacted the members via HT. The road was closed so everything stopped," he concluded.
