PDIP's Ambition Response Creates A Hattrick In 2024, PAN: All Political Parties Have Aspirations To Win The Election, Otherwise Need To Check With A Psychiatrist

JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) has responded to PDIP's ambition to create a hat trick in the upcoming 2024 Simultaneous Election. PAN considers that it is reasonable for PDIP to set this target, because every political party has a dream every time it participates in the election contestation.

"PAN considers it natural, and it has become an iron law of politics that every political party aspires to win in every election," said PAN vice president Viva Yoga Mauladi to reporters, Thursday, August 4.

"There is no political party that does not aspire to win the election. All election participants are fighting to win the election," he continued.

By winning the election, Viva continued, political parties will become parties that have greater political power in deciding state and regional policies. On the other hand, he said, if there is a political party that has no ambition to win, then there is something wrong with that political party.

"If there is a political party that does not aspire to win the election, it needs to be examined by a team of psychiatrists," said Viva.

Viva said that political parties are actually modern institutions in a democratic system that determine the direction and policies of the state. Meanwhile, elections as the embodiment of popular sovereignty are a modern democratic mechanism to conduct periodic selection of people's representatives and national leadership.

"Therefore, PAN together with the PDI-P and other political parties will certainly fight for the presence of the 2024 elections that are fair, Jurdil, and have integrity in order to build a better Indonesian democracy," said Viva.

Previously, the Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Election Winning, Bambang Wuriyanto, stated his party's commitment to winning a third time in the election, aka a hat trick. This commitment is based on the congressional order and the order of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"We also hope to win a hat-trick as ordered by our Chairperson (Megawati Soekarnoputri). Of course we cannot stand alone, but the hope for a hat-trick is a commitment for all of us, all levels of the party because it is the order of the congress, the general chairman's order," said Bambang at the KPU office, Jakarta, Monday, August 1.

"And of course we explain it as well as possible, this must be understood in the election there is no vacuum, all will move to achieve one goal which was number 4," he continued.
