9 Students Arrested Again For Action In Bungur Brawl That Almost Cut Off Their Opponent's Hand

JAKARTA - The Senen Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested 9 students involved in a brawl in front of the Yon Bekang dormitory, Jalan Letjend Suprapto, Bungur Village, Central Jakarta.

"There are 9 underage students that we have detained again from a number of different locations. They were seen in a brawl between the two combined school groups," said Senen Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ganang Agung when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, August 4.

The arrest of 9 students followed the arrest of 4 other students who were first secured by the Senen Police. Currently, the total number of students arrested is 13 people.

"They are still in the investigation stage, no suspects have been named," he said.

The Senen Police Criminal Investigation Unit will coordinate with the Central Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit regarding the handling of child problems. The reason is, the students who were arrested were on average 16 years old.

"From the results of the investigation, it turns out that the group of victims with the initials NR was found to have attacked the group of perpetrators first. This group of perpetrators had retreated and fled but was still being chased, until finally the group of perpetrators turned to attack the group and the victim was stabbed. The victim's hand almost broke," explained Kanit.

Although as many as 13 students have been arrested, the police are still looking for evidence of sharp weapons used by the perpetrators. However, evidence of the victim's clothing and others have been confiscated.

"The role is still being investigated, so no one has become a suspect at this time," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a brawl between school students occurred in front of the Yon Bekang dormitory, Jalan Letjend Suprapto, Bungur Village, Central Jakarta.

A student with the initials NR (17) suffered a laceration from a sharp weapon in his hand.

NR was hacked by a sharp weapon by the opposing group during a brawl. As a result of the sharp weapon, the victim's hand was almost severed.

The Senen Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Ganang Agung, said that his party had also arrested four students involved in the brawl.

"We have secured EH (16), OR (16), AA (16) and YD (16). All of the students are grade 2 high school students," said AKP Ganang when confirmed, Saturday, July 30.

AKP Ganang further stated that NR's stab wounds were quite severe. Until now, members are still looking for the weapons used by the perpetrators in the brawl.

"This confession to us that the students did not slash the victim but only hit the bag. But we are still investigating the case of this brawl," he said. He continued, the students who were detained were students from the North Jakarta area. They deliberately came to the Central Jakarta area to look for opponents.
