CIAMIS - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) fired a janitor who was reported to have committed an obscene act by recording using a cell phone video of a female passenger in the toilet of Ciamis Station, West Java.

"The person concerned has been dishonorably dismissed by PT KAI Service," said Kuswardoyo, Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 3.

The incident began when a woman passenger of the Serayu Train from Purwokerto-Pasar Senen went to the toilet at Ciamis Station, Tuesday (2/7).

When entering the toilet, the victim suspected that there was a cellphone camera in the next toilet room that led to his toilet room. The victim then went out to check on him.

But the condition of the toilet next to it is locked. The victim then reported it to the station security officer until it was discovered that someone was a PT KAI cleaner.

"He contacted the security officers at the station, even the station head went there, after waiting for a long time the toilet door was opened, in the toilet there was an employee of PT KAI Service who worked as a janitor," said Kuswardoyo.

From the results of the examination, the perpetrator did not admit to recording the victim in the toilet. Officers also did not find any evidence because it may have been deleted.

After that, the perpetrator was questioned by the police. Here the perpetrator admits his actions.

"We brought the police and interrogated the perpetrators, the perpetrators have also admitted their actions, the victims then asked for strict sanctions against the officers," continued Kuswardoyo.

PT KAI has given strict sanctions to the janitor by terminating the employment relationship, in addition to that the person's identification number (NIK) is prohibited from using rail transportation services.

"The perpetrators have also been blacklisted from the possibility of using train services, so we have blacklisted our NIK so that they do not use train services," said Kuswardoyo.
