TNI Asked To Recommend Names Of Children From Underdeveloped Regions To Get College Scholarships, What Did Commander Andika Say?

JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa is open to the TNI's cooperation with educational institutions. When the Chancellor of Pertamina University Gusti Nyoman Wiratmaja Puja asked for help, General Andika responded positively.

Gusti's request was conveyed when he visited General Andika's office recently.

He explained a number of educational programs that can be felt by children from 3T areas or disadvantaged, frontier and outermost areas.

"We have scholarships, such as 'Ujung Negeri', for children from border areas, from disadvantaged areas," said Gusti, quoted from General TNI Andika Perkasa's YouTube channel, Wednesday, August 3.

Gusti asked TNI officers on duty in the 3T area to help his party capture children who can get scholarships to study at Pertamina University in Jakarta.

"If it is possible to cooperate with the officers, you are everywhere, you can help capture children in the area, sons and daughters," he continued.

During the meeting, Gusti and General Andika also discussed the proposal for cooperation from Pertamina University to the TNI regarding the provision of scholarships for the sons and daughters of outstanding TNI personnel.

"The second is achievement, if there are sons and daughters from your apparatus who excel, please send them to us. We have scholarships," he said.

The TNI general responded by asking Gusti to make Pertamina University a two minute video about their plan.

The video, said General Andika, will be distributed to members of the TNI who are on duty in the 3T area.

"We will send it to all, including those who are on duty in underdeveloped, outermost or in conflict areas," said General Andika.

There have been many collaborations between the TNI and various educational institutions, so General Andika accepted with open arms several programs proposed by Pertamina University.

Because education, he said, is a long-term investment for every individual, so it is very unfortunate if it is missed.
