BANDA ACEH - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) sent a special team to East Aceh District to verify that the proposed uninhabitable houses received assistance.

Head of the Social Service of East Aceh Regency, Elfiandi, said the four-member team verified the uninhabitable houses proposed to receive assistance in several villages in East Aceh Regency.

"The purpose of the visit of the Ministry of Social Affairs team is to verify uninhabitable houses that receive assistance. The proposal was submitted by the village through a sub-district recommendation to the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs in Jakarta," said Elfiandi as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 2.

Efliandi said that the verified uninhabitable houses were in Gampong Dama Pulo Dua and Gampong Seuneubok Simpang, Darul Aman District, East Aceh Regency, as many as 12 houses.

Then, the team also verified 10 uninhabitable houses in Idi Rayeuk District, three houses in Peudawa District, as well as West Peureulak District and Rantau Selamat District, each with one house.

"So a total of 27 houses have been verified, whether they deserve assistance or not. Whether or not it is appropriate, the Ministry of Social Affairs will determine. We only facilitate the arrival of the team," said Elfiandi.

Elfiandi said that in the verification, some of the uninhabitable houses were included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS). Some of the houses that received assistance were based on village proposals.

"We hope that all the verified uninhabitable houses can be recommended to receive assistance from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs," said Elfiandi.
