Bali Police Strictly Guards Bali Exit Doors Ahead Of The G20 Summit

JEMBRANA - The Bali Regional Police (Polda) are closely guarding all entrances and exits to the Island of the Gods ahead of the peak of the G20 Summit in November 2022.

"We take care of everything, from the port, airport to the coast," said Bali Police Chief Inspector General of Police Putu Jayan Danu Putra, while inaugurating the operation of Sudirman Dewata Post in Jembrana Regency, Bali, Tuesday, August 2.

The Bali Police Chief said that securing the G20 involves a comprehensive element of the security forces, even the National Police deployed 6,722 personnel who are members of the 2022 Puri Agung Operation.

The security forces established special zones and rings that became the object of support for the implementation of the G20, such as airports, roads that were passed by delegates, delegates' accommodation and other locations related to this matter.

"So, security is not only tightened at the conference location, but objects related to it are also secured, until the delegates leave Indonesia," he said.

For Gilimanuk Port in Jembrana Regency, which is one of the entrances and exits to Bali, security will be strengthened.

According to the Bali Police Chief, the G20 security has actually started since December 2021, because almost every month there are activities related to the conference.

"Of course, the peak is when the delegation held a conference from November 15 to 16. Until now the security situation is under control and conducive," he said.

In order to maintain a conducive atmosphere, the Bali Police Chief also encourages the participation of the community to monitor and maintain the security of their respective environments.

The Sudirman Dewata Post which was inaugurated is a police post located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Kota Negara, Jembrana Regency, Bali which is equipped with CCTV and an information control center.

"This post can be used by the community if there are problems on the way," said the Bali Police Chief.
