JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will take action against anyone who helped the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak escape, including members of the TNI. Anyone will be subject to criminal sanctions.

KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata said those who helped Ricky escape to Papua New Guinea could be subject to Article 21 of the Anti-Corruption Law.

"Anyone, not only from the TNI, anyone who protects a person who has been named a suspect and runs away is in the formula, whoever interferes in the investigation, prosecution, or examination process in court can be subject to legal sanctions," Alexander told reporters in Jakarta.
