TANGERANG - A man named Marda (31) became the victim of a stabbing. The culprit turned out to be his own nephew, M (28). The origin of this bloody commotion is trivial, just because of a cigarette.

The incident that occurred in Pulo Village, Buniayu Village, Sukamulya, Tangerang Regency, Sunday afternoon, July 31, was confirmed by the Balajara Police Chief, Kompol Yudha Hermawan.

"Yes, related to that, it happened yesterday (July 31). The victim has been operated on. Maybe today the investigation will be carried out, because the victim just made a report today," said Yudha when contacted by VOI, Monday, August 1.

When asked more about the chronology, Yudha admitted that he could not explain in more detail. However, he confirmed that the perpetrator had been detained at the Balajara Police.

"The perpetrator has been detained at the police station (Balaraja-ed)," he said.

The chronology was finally obtained from a witness named Endang. According to him, the incident began when the perpetrator asked the victim for cigarettes.

“Often the perpetrator asked for cigarettes and coffee, but his uncle ignored it. The two people who fight still have family ties, the perpetrator can be called a nephew, "said Endang.

An argument ensued between the perpetrator and the victim. Endang said, the perpetrator immediately took a machete and attacked the victim. As a result, the victim's palm was almost severed.

"The machete was already in the hands of the perpetrator, and immediately rushed to target the victim. The perpetrators became increasingly violent to slash the victim," said Endang.

Edang said, the victim's palm was almost cut off because the victim deflected a machete.

"The victim was able to fend off using his hands so as not to hit the victim's body. Because of parrying, the victim's palm was almost torn off due to the slash from the perpetrator," he said.

As a result of the incident, the victim was immediately rushed to the Balajara Hospital, for treatment. While the perpetrators were taken by residents to the Balajara Police.

It was revealed that the perpetrator had a mental disorder because his wife left him.

"So the perpetrator is known to have had a mental disorder, he never had a wife and children. It's possible that his thoughts were disturbed because he was separated from his bed with his little family," he said.

“These perpetrators are unemployed and have no job. So it is very likely that he is depressed because of the economy that is being experienced by the perpetrators," he concluded.
