SERANG – The body of a woman found in a sack on the side of a road in Tanara, Saturday, July 30, has been identified. After the body was taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for identification and an autopsy of the cause of death, two people came who wanted to match the characteristics of the body.

"After the information spread, around the afternoon of Sunday (July 31), two people who wanted to cross-check directly at Bhayangkara Hospital, said Head of Public Relations of Serang Police Iptu Dedi Jumhaedi, Monday, July 1.

Dedi revealed that the family had several matches, both primary data and secondary data, namely in the form of fingerprints and dental profiles.

"There are several matches between primary data in the form of fingerprints and secondary data such as height, age, tooth profile, special marks on the cheeks and old scars on the legs. So it is concluded that they are identical to the names submitted by the family," said Dedi in a written statement.

Furthermore, for the purposes of the investigation, the identity of the person concerned cannot be disclosed publicly. However, investigators have confirmed that the bodies in the sacks have been identified on Sunday, July 31, the night.

Dedi also explained that an autopsy on the body was carried out on Saturday, July 30. The activity lasted for 2 hours at Bhayangkara Hospital.

"To find out the cause of death, the forensic team at Bhayangkara Hospital is still waiting for the results of the anatomical pathology analysis from Drajad Prawiranegara Hospital, it is estimated that the victim had been dead for 1-3 days when he was found," he explained.

Dedi said that his party immediately handed over the body to the family in Tangerang for burial.

"This afternoon Bhayangkara Hospital will take the body to Tangerang to be handed over to the family after being washed," concluded Dedi.
