COVID-19 Update As Of July 31: New Cases 4,205, Active Cases Increase To 48,703

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 74,639 specimens were examined with the results of 4,205 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,207,098 people and active cases have fallen by 402 to 48,703 cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, July 31.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,597 cases, bringing the total to 6,001,402 people recovered. Then, positive confirmation that 10 people died and a total of 156,993 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 2,198 cases and a total of 1,330,841 cases. Followed by West Java with 641 new cases with a total of 1,134,180 cases. Banten has 543 new cases and a total of 311,742 cases. Then, East Java with 258 new cases and a total of 585,243 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,478 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 954 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 508 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 305 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 103,638,507.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 8.56 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,502 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 202,478,708 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170,079,599. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 56,107,904. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
