JAKARTA - The spirit of hijrah in commemorating the Islamic New Year was made the General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto as the first step for the next year to continue to print public optimism and President Joko Widodo's government is more advanced.

The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs admitted that there were many things that had to be faced during the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, before the Covid-19 pandemic is over, global conditions have the potential to face new challenges due to events in the world. The threat of a food crisis, to the economy due to tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

However, the spirit and optimism of Muslims is like being devoted to Allah SWT. It is this spirit that can earn God's blessing so that Indonesia will continue to be given ease and success in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and the threat of food and economic crises.

Airlangga said, there are many Muslim organizations in Indonesia with the thoughts of each ummah also sometimes differing in their views of things. However, there is only one Islamic new year.

"That is what unites all the enthusiasm and optimism of Muslims in Indonesia, so that they remain devoted to Allah. That is according to the hadith 'I am according to my servant's good opinion'. Muslims have succeeded in facing all the challenges that exist," said Airlangga, who is also the Chairman of the Committee for the Handling of Covid-19 and the National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN).

Airlangga reminded, the challenges ahead are still many and may be more difficult for the people and the government. So, need to refresh the new spirit for a new year starting today.

With a new spirit, strong unity, optimism, synergy between the people and the government, as well as the prayers of all people, society and President Jokowi's government, President Jokowi can repeat his success in facing the threat of a global recession and the pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic.
