JAKARTA - Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin invites the active participation of the pharmaceutical industry to produce qualified scientists, experts, and practitioners in order to realize national health security through a scholarship program.

"Currently the Ministry of Health is focusing on realizing health resilience as one of the pillars of health transformation with the goal of meeting the needs of national pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices by domestic production," said Budi Gunadi Sadikin in the 2022 Dexa Award Science Scholarship agenda. To achieve this target, Budi said, cooperation from various parties including academia, industry, government and society is needed, particularly in producing quality scientists, experts and practitioners who can increase the capacity and capability of domestic pharmaceutical preparations production.

The Dexa Award Science Scholarship 2022, said Budi, is a form of community and industry support for the transformation of the health system, particularly in the transformation of health resilience and Human Resources (HR) in the health sector.

Through scholarships given to students, academics and doctors, Budi said, it is hoped that the quality of human resources in the health sector can improve and be able to compete at the international level.

The Minister of Health advised all scholarship recipients to be serious in exploring as much knowledge as possible, creating networks and then returning to serve the community to become agents of change in the community for the progress of the Indonesian nation.

"I really appreciate the Dexa group which has provided scholarship assistance to thousands of students throughout Indonesia through the Dexa Award Science Scholarship program," he said.

Budi hopes that similar programs will continue to inspire and motivate the younger generation of Indonesia in developing science and technology, working creatively, innovating and contributing to Indonesia's human development.
