The houses that were burned down belonged to Jamaluddin (70), Fitranuddin (51), Hasanuddin (39), A. Yani (58), Hamzah (63) and Hermawansyah (47). Meanwhile, five houses were slightly damaged, namely Syafruddin AR (50), Saiful Bahri (55), Samsuddin (50), Ramlah (70) and Jubaedah (55).
The fire started when there was an electric short circuit in the house of one of the residents, which then spread to other houses. At the time of the incident, the owner of the house was not at home.
"In addition to hitting residential houses, a prayer room was also affected," he said.

"In addition, at the time of the incident, the wind was blowing quite hard, causing the fire to spread quickly. The narrow road to the scene made it difficult for firefighters to extinguish the fire," he said.
Until now, local residents are still helping to clean up the debris from the fire and secure items that can be saved. Police officers also provide security around the location, to prevent criminal acts.
"Material losses in the incident reached Rp 500 million. There were no casualties in the incident," he said.
