Collapsed Building In Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, One Woman Found Dead

JAKARTA - One woman is reported to have died as a result of falling debris from a building on Jalan Kampung Rawa Sawah II, Kampung Rawa, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 28, afternoon.

The woman's body was discovered when the joint team officers carried out the rescue evacuation process at the scene. However, the identity of the victim has not been identified so far.

"First, the woman was evacuated, her condition was already dead when we evacuated," said Head of Operations Section of the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service, Unggul Wibowo, to VOI at the location, Thursday, July 28, afternoon.

Until now, the evacuation process is still being carried out by joint officers at the location. One by one the building debris and destroyed building materials were evacuated by Central Jakarta Gulkarmat and DKI Jakarta BPBD officers.

"After we evacuate the victims, we evacuate the property," he said.

Although the evacuation process is still ongoing, Unggul hopes that no other victims will be found.

"Hopefully there will be no more victims. We have prepared a medical team at the location," he said.

The evacuation process was carried out by a joint team consisting of the Gulkarmat Sub-dept., TNI, Polri, Satpol PP and Dishub.

"We all work together," he said.
