One Month Fleeing, Taxi Driver Who Molested 7-Year-Old Girl In Kebayoran Lama Finally Arrested By Residents In Palmerah Area

JAKARTA - After running away from officers for a long time, Ali Suyatno (50), a taxi driver who was involved in sexual harassment in South Jakarta was finally arrested.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebayoran Lama Police, Iptu Iwan, said that Ali Suyatno had sexually abused F, a 7-year-old girl who was the neighbor of the perpetrator.

"Yes, that's right (the perpetrator of the obscenity was arrested-ed)," said Iwan when confirmed, Wednesday, July 27.

Ali explained that the perpetrators were finally arrested by residents in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta, July 27. After being arrested, he was handed over to the nearest police station.

"Maybe people know the face of the perpetrator, they continue to be arrested," he said.

Iptu Iwan said the perpetrators would be handed over to the South Jakarta Metro Police for further action.

"(Submitted-red) Polres (South Jakarta Metro)," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that a taxi driver named Ali Suyanto (50) was suspected of molesting a 7-year-old girl with the initials FR. The crime took place at the perpetrator's rented house in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta.

N (34), as the victim's mother, explained that the incident allegedly took place on Tuesday, June 28, in the morning.

"It's 11 o'clock, it's 10 o'clock. 10 o'clock. That same day, last Tuesday. The culprit (neighbor) is a taxi driver,” said N when met at his home, Wednesday, June 29.
