Brigadier J's Re-Autopsy Process Led By Forensic Doctor RSCM

JAKARTA - The process of exhuming the grave and re-autopsying the body of Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J involved an Indonesian forensic medical team. The team was led by a doctor from Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM).

"Doctor Ade is the head of the forensic medicine team that carried out the exhumation (and autopsy, ed)," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo in Jambi, Wednesday, July 27.

Ade Firmansyah Sugiharto is the General Chair of the Indonesian Forensic Doctors Association. In addition, he also served at RSCM as Head of the Forensic Department.

However, Dedi was reluctant to explain the number of doctors involved in the re-autopsy process on Brigadier J. So far, only a team of doctors involved were a combination of several hospitals and universities.

The two-star general also made a similar statement when he was asked about the time it would take for the autopsy results to be re-obtained.

Dedi argued that this would be conveyed by a team of doctors. This is because all information regarding Brigadier J will be conveyed by competent parties in their respective fields.

"Yes, later from Ade's doctor who will immediately carry out a competent re-autopsy who can deliver," said Dedi.

For information, the National Police conducted a re-autopsy on Brigadier J's body. This was done because there was a request from the family who believed that there was an element of premeditated murder behind the case.

The autopsy process on Brigadier J's body will be carried out at the Sungai Bahar Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Muaro Jambi.
