Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Asks MUI To Invite All Mass Organizations To Enter A Container Called Islamic Da'wah Center

JAKARTA - Vice President (Wapres) Ma'ruf Amin asked the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to gather various Islamic social organizations (ormas) in one Islamic Da'wah Center.

This was conveyed by the Vice President when giving directions at the 47th Anniversary of the MUI in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 26 evening.

"In the past few meetings, I asked that there be an Islamic Da'wah Center conducted by the MUI, which brings together all Da'i from mass organizations as well as from institutions into one coordinated and integrated da'wah activity so that the direction is the same," said the Vice President. .

According to the vice president, the similarity of direction must be carried out by aligning the coordination movement between Islamic organizations carried out by an institution, which can represent all Islamic organizations, namely MUI.

“A coordinated movement so that everything goes together under a big tent, namely the MUI leadership. MUI is to become the Imamah Institutionaliyah, now this. Institutional leaders," he said, according to Antara.

During the event, the Vice President who is also the Chairman of the MUI Advisory Council, asked MUI to always adhere to the principles, so that a common understanding can be created so that Muslims in Indonesia are always united.

"We must not have a group ego. Putting aside group fanaticism, only then can we build ukhuwah and Muslim unity within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

The Vice President also really hopes that MUI participation in the unification of the people will continue to be given, including in the momentum of the 2024 presidential election.
