CIANJUR - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil handed over renovation assistance for Koran teacher Ais Effendi, a resident of Bunipasir Village, Maleber Village, Karangtengah District, Cianjur because his semi-permanent house almost collapsed and could threaten the safety of its residents.

"We routinely help residents through various channels, one of which is through the West Java Quick Response (JQR). Residents report to JQR that there is a Koran teacher's house that is unfit for habitation in Cianjur, which we immediately went to," said Ridwan Kamil, in Cianjur, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, 26 July.

Kang Emil as Ridwan Kamil is familiarly called, said that after the residents' reports were followed up by JQR, Ais' house was immediately repaired with a total assistance of Rp. 30 million. Emil also provided assistance with a refrigerator unit to support the needs of the stall to be established.

"The house is not feasible and also needs funds for business. For repairs, it is almost Rp. 30 million, including a refrigerator for selling," he said.

After getting help, added Emil, Ais' house, who works odd jobs every day, was considered feasible to live in and only the finishing process of painting was left. It also targets to facilitate the affairs of West Java residents in need.

"I was very moved after hearing Ais Effendi's words, that he and his family always prayed for the late Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz, our eldest son," he said.

Emil explained that during his visit to Cianjur, his party also carried out direct monitoring of the repair of provincial roads that spanned the Cianjur Regency which was running from the southern region, to be precise in Cibeber Subdistrict to Sindangbarang.

The repair of provincial roads has been hampered due to APBD funds being used to handle the COVID-19 pandemic, but positive cases have been sloping in West Java, so the provincial government can focus on economic recovery by repairing and building roads.
