The Police Will Bring Order To Citayam Fashion Week, Which Is A Gathering Place Until Late At Night

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya and Satpol PP DKI will bring order to teenagers who often gather in the Dukuh Atas area, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, which is often used as the location for the Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) event.

Controls are carried out to prevent teenagers from gathering until late at night.

"Well, this is what we will arrange later with the regional government, especially the Satpol PP, who will control things that might be violated," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Tuesday, July 26.

According to him, the control measures will be carried out in accordance with government directives. Where, teenagers are limited to gathering in the area until 22.00 WIB.

The reason behind it is because many of the findings of the teenagers gathered until the early hours of the morning. In fact, sleeping in the public room.

So far, they have always argued that they could not return to their respective homes because they were late for the train.

"Regarding the time restrictions that exist in the place, of course this is the domain of the regional government, which has said 22.00 is the last time for our younger siblings, our teenagers who are there to leave the place," said Zulpan.

Previously, the Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman suggested that the Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) in the Dukuh Atas area be held during car free days (CFD) or weekends. The goal, so that the activities of the community around the location is not disturbed.

This suggestion is because CFW is carried out at a zebra crossing. Thus, potentially disrupting the flow of traffic.

Moreover, the activity of the people of Jakarta at certain times is quite high.

However, Latif emphasized not prohibiting the activities of these young people. As long as you stick to the rules.

That way, road users or vehicles can co-exist with the children holding the CFW.

"In the sense that community activities may use the road as long as they do not use other road users," said Usman.
