JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has replaced three main directors of regionally-owned enterprises (BUMD) ahead of his three-month term as regional heads in DKI ending in October.

The three BUMDs are Perumda PAM Jaya, Perumda Pasar Jaya, and PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda).

Responding to this condition, member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gilbert Simanjuntak, considers that the replacement of three regional company bosses is not something that needs to be done and instead tends to be strange.

"The replacement of three BUMD president directors is inappropriate and not urgent. In fact, it seems strange. What is on the mind of the current governor of DKI?

At PAM Jaya, Anies replaced Syamsul Bachri Yusuf with Arief Nasruddin as President Director. Arief was previously the President Director of Pasar Jaya.

The replacement of PAM Jaya's Managing Director position was again carried out in the midst of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's plan to terminate the drinking water management contract with private partners Palyja and Aetra or to privatize water.

Gilbert suspects that one of the reasons for the change of President Director is the tug of war between the private sector and the government in the plan to terminate the water privatization contract.

"Why was it replaced, I don't know. Is there a tug of war between the Aetra or Palyja companies and the government's interest? What I do know is that Mr. Syamsul Bachri is a very pro-government person. But the Governor doesn't necessarily see it that way. other than the government's interest that the governor sees, we also don't know," Gilbert said.

Meanwhile at BUMD Pasar Jaya, Anies replaced Arief Nasruddin with Tri Prasetyo. Tri is the former Operational General Manager of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart).

Gilbert admitted that he did not really understand the background of Tri's performance while in a private company. What is clear, Gilbert emphasizes the need for oversight of Tri's work going forward.

"I see, his background is not too long and immediately became the president of BUMD, for me it is a bit of a question mark. How does he position himself now as a pro-people BUMD manager, that is what we must follow," said Gilbert.

Then at MRT Jakarta, Anies replaced William Sabandar and appointed Mohamad Aprindy as President Director. Aprindy's last position was Director of Engineering and Development of PT Jakarta Propertindo, and President Commissioner of LRT Jakarta.

In fact, Gilbert views that William's performance over the last six years in leading MRT Jakarta is quite good. William, according to him, is good at cooperating with foreign parties
