Reason For Appointing Ahyudin And Ibnu Khajar As Suspects In ACT Case: 'Potek' 30 Percent Donation Fund

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has named Ahyudin and Ibnu Khajar as suspects in the alleged misappropriation of funds donated by the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) foundation. This determination is because both of them made a policy of cutting donation funds to reach 30 percent.

"In 2015 (Ahyudin, ed) together made a SKB for ACT's supervisors and supervisors regarding the reduction of donations by around 20-30 percent, in 2020 together they made an opinion from the ACT Foundation's sharia board regarding the reduction of operational funds by 30 percent of the donation funds," said Karo. Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan told reporters, Monday, July 25.

Ramadhan continued, Ahyudin, who is also the former President of ACT, also used donations from the heirs of the Lion Air Boeing JT610 plane crash that occurred on October 18, 2018, which was not according to its designation, namely, allegedly using it for personal interests.

"Personal interests, then using donations, they are directly collected, including from Boeing, which are not in accordance with their designation," said Ramadhan.

Meanwhile, the role of Ibn Khajar until he was finally named a suspect was not much different from that of Ahyudin. He was involved in the formation of a policy to cut donation funds in 2020.

"The Minister of Finance in 2020 together made the opinion of the sharia board of the Act Foundation regarding the cutting of operational funds by 30 percent of the donated funds," said Ramadhan.

In addition, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Bareskrim Kombes Helfi Assegaf said that based on the results of the examination, Boeing provided aid funds worth Rp. 138 billion through ACT. However, only Rp103 billion was distributed by the charitable foundation.

"The remaining 34 billion is used inappropriately," said Helfi.

Meanwhile, Ahyudin and Ibnu Khajar are suspects in the alleged misappropriation of funds from the ACT charity foundation.

Then, in the results of the case, investigators also named two other ACT officials as suspects. They have the initials H and NIA.

Although they have been named as suspects, they have not been arrested so far. Investigators will first coordinate to determine whether or not the four people are detained

For information, the alleged misappropriation of funds by ACT Foundation management occurred during the distribution of aid to the heirs of the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash that occurred in 2018.

The alleged deviation was said to have been made by former ACT President Ahyudin and ACT President Ibnu Khajar. They are suspected of using aid funds for personal gain.
