TRENGGALEK - The Trenggalek District Attorney's Office (Kejari) initiated the development of a rehabilitation center for drug addicts in the district in East Java.

Head of the Trenggalek Kejari Masnur said the development of the rehabilitation center was aimed at helping efforts to tackle drug cases in Trenggalek.

"We have formed the Adhyaksa Rehabilitation Center in collaboration with RSUD dr. Soedomo, Trenggalek," said Masnur, quoted from Antara.

"It's not just general criminal cases that we will 'restorative justice', but in the future also drugs, which include addicts. We will rehabilitate with 'restorative justice'," he continued.

Masnur added that in its implementation the Trenggalek Kejari would cooperate with RSUD dr Soedomo. The target, he continued, is to inaugurate the rehabilitation center in the near future.

"Maybe next week it will be inaugurated by the Regent," he added.

This rehabilitation center was established for perpetrators of drug abuse victims. Through the rehabilitation, he said, it is hoped that they can break the dependence of drug addicts.

"Finally, in every prosecutor's office there is a drug rehabilitation center, in collaboration with hospitals. We are not targeted with 'restorative justice' against (drugs) cases.

In addition, the pattern of restorative justice by rehabilitating drug addicts is a step to cut off drug trafficking in addition to efforts to enforce the criminal law.

For this reason, medical, psychological and spiritual strengthening has become a breakthrough for the Adhyaksa Corps to tackle drug abuse.

In Trenggalek currently there are actually 14 flavored houses spread across 14 sub-districts in the area.

One of the functions and benefits of connecting houses is to accommodate drug addicts who want to recover.

The 'restorative justice' house continues to be a means of mediation for parties who have legal problems in an effort to resolve criminal law problems outside the court mechanism.
