An Elderly Balloon Seller In Kediri Gets Assistance From The Ministry Of Social Affairs, Uninhabitable Houses Will Be Renovated

Kediri Regent Hanindhito Himawan Pramana delivered aid to the house of an elderly person named Sutrimo (70), a resident of Sukoanyar Village, Mojo District/ ANTARA/ HO-Kominfo Kediri Regency

KEDIRI - The Ministry of Social Affairs sent aid to an elderly citizen selling character balloons in Kediri Regency, East Java.

The assistance was delivered by the Regent of Kediri, Hanindhito Himawan Pramana, who went directly to the house of an elderly person named Sutrimo (70), a resident of Sukoanyar Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency, Sunday, July 24.

"Today we have come to distribute aid to Mbah Trimo (Sutrimo's nickname)," he said as reported by ANTARA.

The assistance, apart from the Ministry of Social Affairs, was also from the Social Service of Kediri Regency.

Assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs was provided in the form of a new wheelchair for Dinda, the granddaughter of Mbah Trimo, as well as basic supplies. In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs is also ready to provide assistance to the uninhabitable housing program (rutilahu).

The government is also ready to provide treatment. For Dinda, the plan is to take her to Solo, Central Java, for therapy.

The regent asked the family not to worry if Dinda was taken to Solo for treatment, because it was for the sake of her recovery.

Apart from the Ministry of Social Affairs, the regent also provided business capital assistance for Mbah Trimo and additional packages of basic commodities. The regent also offered Mbah Trimo to work in a coffee plantation.

"If you are interested in plantations, we plant coffee in the Wilis area for export. Later, if you want to work there," said Mr. Dhito, the nickname for the Regent of Kediri, to Mbah Trimo.

The Regent said the assistance provided from the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Kediri Regency Government was a form of government concern for its citizens.

Mbah Trimo has been living with Dinda (12), his granddaughter with special needs, and Dinda's father, Mulyanto (36).

Dinda's condition has been unable to walk because of her health problems. This forced Dinda's father, who previously worked on a building project, to stay at home to accompany his daughter.

To support daily needs, Mbah Trimo works selling balloons. Dinda used to participate when her grandfather sold the balloon on the edge of Mojo Street, which is not far from home, if her father had a call for job.

In addition, Mbah Trimo and his son Mulyanto have also been recipients of PKH and BPNT assistance, including health insurance assistance.

Mbah Trimo is grateful for the assistance provided by the government. He is also very happy with the assistance for the uninhabitable house program, but he admits that he occupies a house on village-owned land.

He also did not expect the assistance to be delivered directly by the Regent of Kediri. He expressed his gratitude for the attention given to him and his family.
