JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate the flow of money related to alleged bribery and gratification of project implementation in the Central Mamberamo Regency Government.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that the examination of witnesses related to this case was held at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 21. Investigators are looking for evidence that confirms the involvement of the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak.

"The investigative team has finished examining witnesses," Ali told reporters, Friday, July 22.

The witness being examined was Maria Ch. O Renwarin who is a civil servant (PNS) of the Central Mamberamo Regency Government. He was present and has been examined by investigators.

"Confirmed, among others, the knowledge of the witness regarding the alleged flow of money received from parties related to this case," said Ali.

As previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of bribery and gratification in Central Mamberamo. A number of witnesses have been called and searches have been carried out.

However, in the middle of this investigation, the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak fled. He fled to Papua New Guinea by way of a rat with the help of his aides.
