BNN Raids House To Become A Drug Factory In Batam, Head Of RT: Pet Dog Barking Is Unusual

JAKARTA - This is the story of the head of the RT in Batam, where one of the houses in his complex was raided by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) because it became a place for illegal drug factories.

The head of RT Didik in one of the houses in a residential area in Batam, Riau Islands, admitted that he was not suspicious of the perpetrators' activities in making drugs.

"We are not suspicious of the house, because there is no conspicuous activity, so there is nothing suspicious," said Didik, quoted from Antara, Thursday, July 21.

He was shocked by a drug factory raid on one of the houses in their neighborhood. He only knew that the house that was raided by BNN was a rented house that had just been occupied by the perpetrators.

"So it's a rented house, I got information from the owner that the house has only been occupied for two days," he said.

However, he had received reports from residents who live next door to a drug manufacturing factory that since the perpetrators had occupied the house, his pets were often restless.

"But the recognition of the neighbor next door, a pet dog that is usually calm, but since the house is inhabited the dog barks unusually," he said.

He also said that the perpetrators who rented them never reported themselves to him even though the owner of the house had directed them to coordinate with RT and RW.

"The security guards also directed them to report to the RT but they haven't reported it to me," he said.

Reportedly, BNN managed to uncover the case of a drug-making illegal factory in a rented house in Batam, Riau Islands.

Head of the National Narcotics Agency, Petrus Golose, stated that from the results of the disclosure, officers managed to obtain 5,032 grams of crystal meth evidence that still needed to be processed.

"One of the perpetrators is a former police officer from Malaysia with the initials MS (34 years old), two others from Batam, NS (47 years) and AS (25 years)," said Petrus in Batam, Riau Islands, Thursday (21/7).
