SUKABUMI - A landslide in Jabongardu Village, Sukabumi Regency, West Java caused three people to be buried and four others managed to escape.

Until now, the joint SAR team is still evacuating another victim who was buried in RT 3/3, Girijaya Village, Cidahu District, after the other two were successfully evacuated.

"One victim buried in the name of Irwan (34), a resident of Jabonrawa Village, Cidahu District, has been found dead, while one person has been rescued and another victim is still in the process of being evacuated," said Cidahu sub-district head Jenal Abidin in Sukabumi, Antara, Wednesday, Wednesday. According to Jenal, until now one other victim, Abdullah (29), a resident of Kampung Jabonrawa, Cidahu, is still in the process of being evacuated.

Information compiled from personnel of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Sukabumi Regency who participated in the humanitarian operation, this landslide disaster occurred when six workers were building houses.

Suddenly a six-meter-high cliff with a length of six meters fell on the construction workers.

During the incident, three workers managed to escape while the other three were buried. Residents who saw the incident managed to save one worker who was buried. while Irwan and Abdullah were not successfully evacuated.

The joint SAR team from elements of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), PMI, TNI, Polri, Tagana and volunteers and assisted by the community who received the report immediately rushed to the location and soon succeeded in evacuating Irwan's body whose condition was dead.

In the same place, PMI Sukabumi District Public Relations Officer Ariel Solehudin added that until now the joint SAR team was still at the location to evacuate one other victim.

"The point of the victim who is still buried has been found and at this time we are still trying to dig up the soil that buried it. Most likely the victim on behalf of Abdullah is dead," added the man who is familiarly called Iding.
