He appealed to ship operators and fishermen to be aware of the threat of high waves because they could endanger shipping activities.

"Ships that have shipping routes in a number of water points in order to make efforts to minimize potential risks," he said.

Meanwhile, synoptic conditions show that the wind generally blows from the Northeast-Southeast with a speed of 1-6 on the Beaufort Scale.

The ship operators and fishermen are reminded to continue to update the weather information in sea waters submitted by the BMKG to determine safe and smooth shipping activities, said Syaeful Hadi.
