Brigadier J's Family Requests CCTV From The Magelang-Jakarta Route To Be Confiscated, Police Headquarters: Investigators' Technical Considerations

JAKARTA - The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo spoke up after the family of Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J asked for CCTV footage of the Magelang-Jakarta route and the car used for confiscation.

The request of the family, represented by his attorney, Kamarudin Simanjuntak, is important in uncovering the case of Brigadier J's death. According to Dedi, it all depends on the technical considerations of the investigators.

"To avoid speculations that develop, of course, what is desired, what is expected and related to the problem of a certain criminal event, the investigators will certainly do it. That (the CCTV and car request) is a technical consideration for the investigators," said Dedi at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19.

Investigators, continued Dedi, certainly have competence in investigating a case. Every thing found in the case will be sorted, whether it can be used as evidence or otherwise. Dedi ensured that his party would invite experts so that the verification process was actually carried out scientifically.

"So that this incident is truly bright. I also need to convey, not all information in the investigation process must be disclosed to the public. It will be disclosed as transparently as possible in the trial process,"

"Later, all evidence will be presented by investigators. It will be tested in the trial process so that the trial process is really what was proposed by investigators, prosecutors, really transparently and fulfills a sense of justice," said the two-star general.

The attorney for Brigadier J's family, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak, revealed the last conversation of the deceased before it was discovered that he had died. Brigadier J had contacted the family through the WhatsApp group and reported that he was in Magelang with his superiors.

Information on this conversation was also conveyed to investigators when reporting. According to Kamaruddin, there are two possible locations for the death of Brigadier J. First, at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's halfway house in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, or second, between Magelang and Jakarta.

This allegation emerged after Brigadier J had given the news to the family on the same day he died, Friday, July 8. At 10.00 WIB, Brigadier J said in the WA group that he was escorting his superiors or commanders in Magelang.

"It was known from the WA group and the parents' conversation," explained Kamaruddin at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Monday, July 18.
