MATARAM - The Prosecutor's Office is examining NTB DPRD member Najamuddin Moestafa regarding the authorization of a letter of credit from the NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah to take Rp1.45 billion in funds to Hadrian Irfani, Chairman of the NTB PKB DPW.

Spokesman for the NTB High Prosecutor's Office, Efren Saputra, confirmed that there were members of the NTB DPRD who were questioned by his party.

"Yes, it is true, but for what purposes, I have not received detailed information," said Efien as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 19.

The authorization for the withdrawal of funds is stated in a power of attorney Number 388/W/Not/VII/2018 which was signed before notary Ali Masadi in East Lombok Regency, dated July 9, 2018.

In the letter, Zulkieflimansyah's position as the giver of power is still a Member of the Indonesian Parliament. As for the power of attorney, Najamuddin Moestafa, it is written that he works as a farmer. Information about the letter has spread widely and has gone viral on social media.

In connection with this summons, Najamuddin who was met by reporters at the NTB Prosecutor's Office admitted that he was dealing directly with the Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Ely Rahmawati.

"Yes, I was clarified regarding the power of attorney. I was asked directly by Mrs. Ely Rahmawati," said Najamudin.

He also made sure that he had told the prosecutor thoroughly about the power of attorney. He has explained the chronology from the emergence of the power of attorney from the Governor of NTB to where and for what purpose the money was used.

"I explained from A to Z. However, whatever it is, I can't explain it to the media," he said.

He ensured that he asked the prosecutor's office to investigate this matter, especially if there were indications of gratification.

"If you enter gratification, please just take the law," he said.

He also asked the public to be smarter in responding to the power of attorney that was widely spread on social media. The withdrawal of the Rp1.45 billion fund was not directed personally to Hadrian Irfani, but in his status as Chairman of the NTB PKB DPW.

"On that day (July 9 2018) what happened, Zul (NTB Governor) was a candidate for governor. Between the party chairman and the candidate for governor, there was a transaction. I am a collector," said Najamuddin.
