West Kalimantan Supplied 30 Thousand Doses Of PMK Vaccine, Including Vitamins For 6,000 Livestock

KALBAR - West Kalimantan Province (Kalbar) has again received 30 thousand doses of vaccine for the prevention of mouth and nail disease (PMK) outbreaks in livestock.

Head of the Plantation and Livestock Service (Disbunnak) of West Kalimantan Province, M. Munsif said he was grateful to get the number of PMK vaccines after previously realizing 100 percent.

"We are grateful that currently we have received a total of 30 thousand doses of PMK vaccine, including the previous one, the first data is 3,900 doses," said M. Munsif in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Tuesday, July 19.

He added, in addition to vaccines, West Kalimantan Province also received vitamin packages for 6,000 livestock. This is to encourage the acceleration of healing and increase the immunity of livestock.

"We received both PMK vaccines and vitamins, assisted by the West Kalimantan Regional Police team who are members of the PMK Integrated Task Force in West Kalimantan to guard the pickup in cargo and take them to the Command Post, namely the West Kalimantan Disbunnak. As soon as possible, the vaccines and vitamins will be distributed," he said, according to Antara.

For distribution, his party will give it to regions that have proven quickly in the realization of the PMK vaccine at an early stage. The area with good absorption performance will certainly be larger.

"The distribution pattern related to the amount of vitamins and PMK vaccines depends on the seriousness of the region to distribute it to farmers whose indicators are seen from the absorption of previous vaccines," he said.

Currently, according to him, out of nine regencies or cities in West Kalimantan, there are already four areas that have been declared free of PMK. But it will be surveyed again from the center and seen how accurate and other.

"We are optimistic that with this PMK and vitamin vaccination, West Kalimantan will slowly be free of PMK. Of course it needs support from all parties, including the breeders themselves," he said.
