BANDA ACEH - The Banda Aceh City Government will add street lighting in access to the Ulee Lheue tourist attraction, Aceh, as an effort to prevent immorality or actions that can violate Islamic law.

"We anticipate immorality at the tourist spot Ulee Lheue, we are trying to install PJU (Public Street Lighting) in the near future," said Acting Mayor of Banda Aceh, Bakri Siddiq, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 18.

"Together with the police, our team (Satpol PP/WH) will monitor and supervise, lest there are people gathering who are not their relatives, we will guard this at tourist sites," he said.

Bakri said, in order to implement Islamic law, he had also ordered the termination of activities at government offices when the call to prayer or prayer time arrived.

"We have also started the dawn prayer mat program. We have to start with the City Government apparatus first," said Bakri Siddiq.
