MUKOMUKO - The Department of Community and Village Empowerment of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, recorded that 9,925 families belonging to the economically poor in this area received direct cash assistance from village funds (BLT-DD) in 2022.

"A total of 9,925 families received the BLT-DD based on village head regulations (perkades)," said Head of the Mukomuko Regency Village and Community Empowerment Service Haryanto in Mukomuko, Antara, Monday, July 18.

The beneficiaries of the assistance came from 148 villages. According to Haryanto, this amount was reduced by Rp. 9 billion compared to 2021. Of the IDR 114 billion Village Fund, IDR 45 billion or 40 percent of it is for BLT-DD.

However, he said, the number of poor families who received BLT-DD in this area was still less than the target set by the government as many as 12,600 families, or 40 percent of this year's Village Fund.

Of the Rp45 billion Village Fund, Rp35.7 billion or 32 percent of which is used for BLT-DD, so there is still a remaining eight percent of the Village Fund or around Rp9.3 billion for BLT-DD that is not used.

"At least two to three villages in this area are able to absorb Village Funds for BLT-DD reaching 40 percent, while the average village is 32 percent. There is still a remaining Village Fund for BLT-DD in the APBDes of eight percent and these funds cannot used for other activities.

Furthermore, his party will coordinate with the local KPPN regarding the excess of the Village Fund for BLT-DD by eight percent.

"Our officers will coordinate with KPPN regarding solutions for villages that are unable to absorb 40 percent of the Village Fund for BLT-DD and the use of the remaining funds," he said.

According to him, there needs to be a regulation or legal umbrella to divert the remaining Village Funds for the BLT-DD for other activities in the village.
