After The Death Of Brigadier J, The National Police Chief Deactivates Inspector General Ferdy Sambo As Head Of Propam

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has dismissed Inspector General Ferdy Sambo from his position as Head of the Propam Division. This temporary dismissal was carried out to maintain objectivity in handling the death of Brigadier J alias Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat.

"I have decided for Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo to temporarily deactivate his position," Listyo Sigit told reporters, Monday, July 18.

With this removal, the position of the Head of the Propam Division will be handed over to the Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono.

Originally, the Deputy Chief of Police was the head of a special team formed by the Chief of Police.

"This is of course to ensure that what we have done so far regarding our commitment to maintaining objectivity, transparency and accountability, we can really maintain," said Sigit.

On the previous occasion, Sigit said he did not want to rush into making a decision to deactivate the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Of course, for the same reason, the team he formed is still working to investigate the case.

"Of course we shouldn't rush, and rest assured the joint team is a professional team," said Sigit
