JAKARTA - Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin targets all digital-based health services in hospitals to health centers to be integrated with the Indonesiaku Sehat Application (ASIK) no later than December 2023.
"The standard uses Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) which has been designed and will be launched on August 17, 2022. We give time until December 2023, all clinics, health centers, hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies must follow the FHIR standard," said Budi Gunadi Sadikin, when he was a speaker in the Health Technology Transformation Health and Health Webinar which was followed by the Ministry of Health's YouTube, reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 15.
The FHIR data model is a digital operating system for defining resources and associated metadata, such as clinical content and other related system information in a consistent, structured, yet flexible modular format.
The Ministry of Health has released ASIK which integrates all applicable applications in health care facilities using the FHIR operating system standard.
Budi said the transformation of health technology in Indonesia will change all services at the digital-based health center level, such as the use of bluetooth for weighing and measuring height.
In addition, services at the puskesmas are also supported by telehealth facilities that can reach patient and doctor interactions without knowing distance.
"The Ministry of Health will distribute medical ultrasonography (USG) devices with remote features. So patients can connect to specialist doctors at hospitals and can get services via smart phones," he said.
Budi said remote and telehealth functions at puskesmas will be integrated into the ASIK system, both services and laboratory diagnostics.
"All digital-based laboratories, from health centers, for blood chemistry to small laboratories at posyandu, such as rapid test kits for HB, COVID-19, dengue, tuberculosis, all use barcodes. So that the function of the puskesmas as the health territorial commander can occur because it can be monitored digitally," he said.
In addition to the puskesmas, Budi said, the FHIR operating system also applies to hospital service facilities as a standardization of patient medical records.
"Diagnostic data in laboratories and clinics in hospitals will go directly to the PeduliLindung application. Because now there are 95 million users, 8 million people use it a month. PeduliLindung is one of the world's largest health applications," he said.
Budi said the PeduliLindung application, which is now used to track COVID-19 cases, will also integrate blood tests, CT scans, MRA from all incoming patients," he said.
