COVID-19 Update As Of July 15: New Cases Of 3,331, Heals Increase By 2,842

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 83,417 specimens were examined with the result that there were 3,331 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,127,084 and active cases have increased by 483 to 24,973," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, July 15.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,842 people, bringing the total to 5,945,278 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 6 cases and a total of 156,833 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,613 cases and a total of 1,289,857 cases. Followed by West Java which has 660 new cases with a total of 1,119,696 cases. Banten has 460 new cases and a total of 301,775 cases. East Java has 194 new cases and a total of 580,472 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today is DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,629 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 366 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 363 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 240 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 101,923,188.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 4.82 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 5,165 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,892,085 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,505,540 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 52,718,947. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
