JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, gave advice to the candidate for mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, ahead of the debate on the Solo Pilkada.

The advice and guidance was conveyed by Ganjar in a relaxed atmosphere while having breakfast at Soto Gading, Surakarta, Friday, November 6 before going to Klitikan Notohardjo Market.

Ganjar deliberately took time off to meet President Joko Widodo's eldest son, who is running for the 2020 Surakarta elections.

"Yes, earlier I told Mas Gibran, the most important preparation for the debate is to prepare a winning mentality. The winning mentality must be calm, we must know the problems, and must be responsive," said Ganjar.

Ganjar also asked Gibran to be more relaxed and less tense when facing his first debate in the Surakarta Pilkada contest.

"You have to relax, the communication is like when you greeted the traders at Klitikan Market, you can joke, it's good like that," he said.

When they went to Klitikan Market, Ganjar and Gibran listened to input from traders while continuing to educate about health protocols.

According to Ganjar, Surakarta's characteristics are very attractive and there are many interesting things that can be encouraged for economic growth.

"Mas Gibran has a top priority in reviving the economy, especially SMEs. So, he asked for support on that, including for the construction of a co-working space that we will build in Solo. In addition, Mas Gibran also asked for educational support, namely the construction of a high school, later we help, "he said.

Candidate for Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, confirmed that Ganjar gave a special discourse related to the debate that will be held tonight and provided a direct example of how to serve the community.
