These 5 Men Are Specialist For Spare Tire Trucks In The Rest Area, Have Been In Action 150 Times

JAKARTA - The Satreskrim of the Indramayu Police, the West Java Police arrested five thieves who specialize in truck spare tires. They have acted approximately 150 times, especially in toll road rest areas from Jakarta to Cirebon.

"These suspects have acted approximately 150 times on toll roads from Jakarta to Cirebon," said Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Lukman Syarif, in Indramayu, Friday, July 15, as reported by Antara.

The suspects have been in action for more than a year, and targeted a number of rest areas on toll roads from Jakarta to Cirebon.

According to him, the five suspects with the initials IM (39), FS (41), DM (45), LP (28), and DS (19), are residents of Karawang Regency.

The five of them, said Lukman, are a specialist syndicate of truck spare tire thieves, which is very disturbing, because they have acted more than 150 times, especially on toll roads.

"For the crime scene in Indramayu, it has been 10 times. They are a syndicate and specialist in truck tire thieves," he also said.

The thief's modus operandi, said Lukman, was to spy on trucks entering the rest area at night until the early hours of the morning.

Because at that time, said Lukman, most of the drivers were resting at rest areas around the toll road, so they could easily steal their stolen goods.

"In about 5 minutes, the suspect was able to retrieve the spare tire," he said.

Lukman added that from the hands of the suspects, his party confiscated a number of evidences, including knives, tire keys, truck tires, cars, and several others.

"As a result of his actions the five suspects were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of seven years," he said.
