Based on the Antara report, FMD was detected for the first time in the country in East Java Province on May 5, 2022. Until now East Java is still the province with livestock that have not recovered and have the most deaths.

Then West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) became the province with the most cases of recovery.

The Task Force advises farmers to limit animal movement, control traffic and carry out surveillance, prohibit the entry of livestock from other areas, strict quarantine, good maintenance management, improve sanitation, regularly disinfect cages and surrounding areas, in order to prevent outbreaks of FMD from spreading.

Then responding to the availability of vaccines for animals affected by FMD, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo emphasized that the addition of vaccines in a number of areas will be carried out gradually.

"The addition of vaccines is of course gradual. Because buying PMK vaccines can't be arbitrary, there must be indicators," said Syahrul.
