REJANG LEBONG - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province stated that the number of residents in the area who had undergone the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination reached 201,348 people or 92.42 percent of the target of 217,861 people.

Head of the Rejang Health Office, Lebong Syahfawi, said the residents who had been vaccinated came from health workers, public officials, the elderly (elderly), vulnerable communities and the general public as well as teenagers.

"As of July 14, 2022 at 05.00 WIB, the number of residents of Rejang Lebong Regency who have been given dose one vaccination is 201,348 people or 92.42 percent of the target of 217,861 people," he said when contacted at Rejang Lebong, Antara, Thursday, 14 July.

He explained that the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination in the region is currently ranked sixth in Bengkulu Province above North Bengkulu, Kepahiang, Mukomuko and Seluma Regencies.

In addition to the achievement of the first dose of vaccination, which has reached 92.42 percent, he said, then the second dose of vaccination has also been attended by 159,517 people or 73.22 percent and the third dose or booster has been attended by 36,558 people or 16.78 percent of the total target population.

According to him, the vaccination achievement continues to increase every day in line with vaccination attacks carried out through 21 health centers spread over 15 sub-districts, then in Curup Hospital and vaccinations carried out by the TNI/Polri.

He appealed to the people of Rejang Lebong who have not participated in the mass vaccination program, either dose one, dose two or booster to immediately follow it at the vaccine outlets in the area so that it can create communal immunity.
