JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has handed over the status of the use of state property (BMN) in the form of two towers of flats (Rusun) to the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
"We have handed over the status of the use of the BMN for the two flat towers to BRIN so that it can be managed properly and occupied by researchers at BRIN," said Secretary General for Housing, Ministry of PUPR, M Hidayat at the BRIN Office, Jakarta, Thursday, July 14, as reported by Antara.
This flat will be a residence for BRIN researchers so as to improve the quality of research in Indonesia. Even inside it is also equipped with adequate furniture and supporting facilities.
PUPR hopes that the residents of the flats can inhabit, care for and maintain the BMN assets so that they can have a long service life.
"After the handover of the goods and this management, any damage caused by the use will be borne by the party using it. So we hope that all existing assets can be maintained as well as possible so that they can be used for a long time," he said.
Based on data from the Directorate General of Housing, there are two flats that have been handed over to BRIN.
The first is the Puspitek – Research and Technology Flat which was built in 2015 which is located at the Center for Strength Structural Technology (B2TKS) Pspitek, Serpong, South Tangerang City, Banten.
The apartment was built as a four-story tower with type 36 occupancy and is intended for ASN. The total budget for the construction of the Flats and the procurement of their furniture is Rp. 19.3 billion.
The second flat is the ASN BATAN Flat which was built in 2018 on Jalan Raya Serpong, Puspitek Complex, Setu Village, Serpong District, South Tangserang City, Banten.
This second apartment was built with a tower as high as three floors with a total of 42 units of type 36. The total budget for the construction of the flats and the procurement of furniture was Rp. 12.9 billion.
"We hope that BRIN can allocate maintenance costs and form a Rusun manager and divide tasks in terms of maintenance, care and security of these Flats. So the residents of these Flats can comfortably live in these Flats," he hoped.
