YOGYAKARTA - Member of the Golkar faction of the Kulon Progo DPRD, Agus Supriyanto, asked the local Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Dinsos-P3A) to re-register underprivileged residents who were crossed out from the Integrated Social Welfare Data.

Agus Supriyanto admitted, many people in the Galur and Lendah areas complained to him that they did not participate in BPJS membership, because they were removed from DTKS.

"The residents who were removed from DTKS are underprivileged, so the BPJS card is not active. They don't know the BPJS card is no longer active, they know when they want to seek treatment," said Agus in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), quoted from Antara, Wednesday 13 July.

For this reason, he hopes that there will be socialization to the people who have been removed from DTKS, because they will automatically be included as participants in the BPJS Health Recipients of Contribution Assistance (PBI) which is borne by the government.

"We also hope that those who are removed from BPJS health can be financed by the Kulon Progo Regency Government," he hoped.

Activate BPJS Health

The Head of the Kulon Progo Health Service, Sri Budi Utami, added that the provision for residents who were removed from DTKS so that BPJS Kesehatan was not active was a policy of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

However, for residents whose BPJS membership has been disabled, the Kulon Progo Regency Government has revealed a solution.

The steps that need to be taken are to look at the deactivated data, whether it is still listed as DTKS, if so, the Health Office will propose as a BPJS PBI-APBN participant.

"However, if it turns out that it is not registered as a DTKS and still meets the requirements, the Health Office will try to enter it as a BPJS PBI-APBD participant," said Sri.

Sri Budi said the steps taken by residents who were crossed out from DTKS, but were able to access assistance from the district government, were that the person concerned had to get a letter of recommendation for a certificate of incapacity (SKTM) from the lurah or local village head.

Then, the SKTM recommendation was brought to the Dinsos-P3A Kulon Progo for verification. The results of the verification in the form of a list of names proposed for PBI-APBD participation are submitted from Dinsos-P3A to the Health Office.

Furthermore, the Health Office submits the proposed membership data to BPJS Kulon Progo Regency for further processing as BPJS PBI-APBD participants.

BPJS follows up to include these names in the BPJS PBI-APBD participant group. "Those are the steps to reactivate BPJS PBI-APBD membership for residents who have been removed from DTKS," he said.
