Lili Pintauli Siregar Resigns From Deputy Chairperson Of The KPK, The Council's Ethics Session Becomes Aborted

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) decided that the ethics trial against the Deputy Chair of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Lili Pintauli Siregar was declared invalid. The reason, he has resigned from his position.

"The examinee no longer has the status of a commission member who is a legal subject of the Supervisory Board, so the alleged violation of the code of ethics can no longer be accounted for to the examinee," said the Head of the Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean Ethics Council when reading the ethics trial verdict, Monday, July 11.

Tumpak said Lili had sent a letter of resignation from her position to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and a Presidential Decree (Keppres) regarding the dismissal was signed today, Monday, July 11.

"Declaring that the ethics trial was dismissed for alleged violations of ethics and code of conduct on behalf of Lili Pintauli Siregar and terminated the ethics trial," said Tumpak.

As for this decision, Lili who was present said she would follow it. "Thanks to the assembly, I accept the decision of the assembly," he said.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had signed a Presidential Decree (Keppres) regarding the dismissal of KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar. Signing after the resignation letter is received.

"President Jokowi has received Lili Pintauli Siregar's resignation letter. President Jokowi has signed the Presidential Decree on the Dismissal of the LPS," said Special Staff of the Minister of State Secretary (Mensetneg) Faldo Maldini when contacted by VOI via text message, Monday, July 11.

Faldo did not specify when exactly the letter came in and when the Presidential Decree was signed. The signing and issuance are administrative procedures that must be carried out in accordance with the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019.

Lili was again reported to the KPK Council for allegedly receiving hotel accommodation facilities and tickets to watch the 2022 MotoGP race at the Mandalika International Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), from PT Pertamina (Persero).

In dealing with the alleged receipt, the KPK Supervisory Board has collected materials and information from related parties, including the state-owned company. President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati has also been examined some time ago and provided additional information in writing.

Not only that, the KPK Council has also asked related parties to bring proof of booking accommodation at Amber Lombok Beach Resort and Mandalika MotoGP tickets at the Grandstand Premium Zone A-Red.
