Kemdikbudristek Supports Strengthening Research Ecosystems In Education Units

MATARAM - Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Anwar Makarim admitted that his party prioritizes strengthening the research ecosystem in education units. Research and Innovation Scientific Youth Week (PIRN) XX at the Graha Bakti Praja Building West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Governor's Office in Mataram City, Monday 11 July. One way Kemdikbudristek facilitates strengthening the research ecosystem is through the Matching Fund program, a program that brings together universities and industry to conduct research supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture through a budget matching scheme. The Matching Fund is a tangible form of support from the Ministry of Education and Culture for the creation of collaboration and strategic synergy between university personnel (university institutions) and industry. In 2021, the Ministry of Education and Culture will seek Anai more than 450 proposals in academic and vocational colleges with a total support fund of IDR 280 billion. Meanwhile for students in 2022, Kemdikbudristek will also continue the STEM (We Must Learn) Kihajar program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as a space for develop critical thinking skills and creativity.

"To date, more than 65,000 students throughout Indonesia have participated in this program and have become the Kihajar STEM generation," he said. The STEM Kihajar is an exploration forum for students in SD/MI, SMP/MTs, SMA/MA, and SMK education units. /MAK, to think critically, creatively, and able to collaborate and communicate in developing STEM-based projects through the utilization of information and communication technology. Kihajar STEM participants will compete in the basic, intermediate and final stages. The program aims to create a profile of Pancasila students who have critical, creative, collaborative thinking skills and are able to communicate.
