The KPK Searches The Circulation Of Bribes During The Tulungagung DPRD, Discussing The 2015-2018 APBD

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is tracing the flow of money during the process of discussing the APBD and APBD-P in 2015-2018. The search was carried out by examining four witnesses on Thursday, July 7 yesterday.

The witnesses examined were members of the Tulungagung DPRD for the 2014-2019 period. They are Sunarko, Suprapto, Tutut Sholihah, and Wiwik Triasmoro Widiyanto.

The four were examined to investigate allegations of bribery related to the allocation of the East Java province financial assistance budget. The examination of these witnesses was carried out at the Tulungagung Police, East Java.

"The investigative team conducted an in-depth investigation regarding the alleged flow of money received by several parties related to this case during the process of discussing the 2015-2018 APBD/APBD (Regional Budget) in the Tulungagung DPRD", said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, in a written statement, Friday, July 8.

The KPK has previously named a number of suspects related to the alleged bribery in the allocation of the East Java province financial assistance budget for the 2014-2018 period for Tulungagung Regency.

The decision was made after investigators collected evidence related to this allegation. However, the KPK has not stated the party designated as a suspect.

Pengumuman para tersangka maupun konstruksi perkara akan dilakukan saat upaya penahan paksa dilakukan. KPK berharap masyarakat memberi dukungan dan melapor jika mengetahui informasi terkait pengusutan dugaan suap yang tengah dielidiki.
