Sindir Ketua KPK Bicara Mining Perangku Kepentingan Berintegritas, Novel Baswedan: Lili Langgar Etik Beratbela

JAKARTA - The statement by the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri that stakeholders should grow an environment with integrity was highlighted by former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan.

Through his Twitter account, @nazaqistsha, Novel said Firli's statement was good to implement. But, unfortunately, the KPK did not consistently do that.

"The information below is good. But the KPK leadership itself didn't do anything like this," Novel wrote on his Twitter account replying to a KPK Twitter tweet, @KPK_RI quoted Friday, July 8.

In the KPK's Twitter tweet, there is a photo of Firli Bahuri with the caption, "Stakeholders must help grow an environment of integrity, ethical values, and accountability norms. All parties have an important role in preventing & eradicating corruption. So that the spirit of this meeting is to collaborate and cooperate."

Novel then mentioned KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar. According to him, Firli Bahuri and his other representatives actually defended Lili even though she had violated ethics.

Lili is known to have been given severe sanctions by the Supervisory Board in the form of cutting her basic salary for 12 months as much as 40 percent. The reason is that she has abused her authority and is in contact with the litigants, the former Mayor of Tanjungbalai M. Syahrial.

Not only that, Lili is now facing the KPK Council again for allegedly receiving accommodation and tickets to watch the Mandalika MotoGP. This facility is provided by PT Pertamina (Persero).

"Lili repeatedly violated severe ethics and continued to be defended. Dewas was called not to attend, other leaders could prevent it," he said.

"Then Firli still wants to talk about integrity?" Novel asked to end his tweet.

As for the investigation into the alleged ethical violation, Lili was supposed to undergo a trial held by the KPK Supervisory Board on Tuesday, July 5. However, he was not present because he had to undergo official duties as a speaker at the second round of the Anti Corruption Working Group (ACWG) event in Nusa Dua, Bali.

Regarding this absence, Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, stated that ACWG activities had been scheduled for a long time. Chairman of the KPK Firli Bahuri and his representatives, Alexander Marwata and Lili Pintauli, are scheduled to fill the activities as keynote speakers and provisions.

"This agenda has been scheduled since the beginning of the year, where Indonesia began to hold the G20 Presidency in 2022 which of course also involves various stakeholders, both regional, national, and international," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Wednesday, July 6.
