BENGKULU - Bulog Perum Rejang Lebong Branch which oversees three districts in Bengkulu Province has prepared 4 tons of frozen meat to meet the needs of Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijri residents in the area.

Head of Bulog Rejang Lebong Branch, Guslindawati, said the stock of frozen meat arrived in the area a few days ago and would be used to meet needs in three districts.

"The stock of frozen meat in the warehouse of the Rejang Lebong branch of Bulog is currently 4 tons, this frozen meat stock is prepared to meet the needs of the community in three districts ahead of Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijri," he said in Rejang Lebong, quoted from Antara, Thursday 7 July.

He explained that the frozen meat was sold for Rp. 80,000 per kilogram and can be purchased by residents at the Bulog Rejang Lebong Branch Office on Jalan S Sukowati Curup and Gudang Bulog in Durian Depun, Merigi Kepahiang District.

Currently, the main basic necessities in the Rejang Lebong branch of Bulog warehouse include 527 tons of rice, consisting of PSO rice or public services as much as 520 tons and 7 tons of commercial rice.

This rice stock is estimated to meet the needs of the community in three districts for the next 3-6 months.

For other staples, Bulog has prepared 43 tons of sugar. However, for flour and cooking oil the stock is empty.

"Titok seagu sudah mengalami kekosongan sejak bulan Juni lalu, kita sudah mengajukan permintaan dan tinggal menunggu pengiriman dari kantor pusat," ujarnya.

As for cooking oil, Bulog only sells bulk cooking oil directly to retailers, so there is no stock at the local Bulog Warehouse.

Previously, Bulog had distributed 24,000 liters of cooking oil to the districts of Kepahiang and Rejang Lebong in July 2022.
