SEMARANG - The issue of hacking colored before the end of the re-registration period for applicants who were accepted at public schools during the implementation of new student admissions (PPDB) for SMA/SMK level for the 2022/2023 Academic Year in Central Java.

"After we clarified it turned out to be not a hacker, but there is one school whose passwords are all the same," said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang, Antara, Wednesday, July 5.

Ganjar said that until now evaluations related to the implementation of the 2022/2023 PPDB were carried out and the results were several findings related to problems and reports that emerged from parents and prospective students, one of which was the issue of hacking.

According to Ganjar, this method was chosen by a number of schools to make it easier for parents and prospective students when activating an account, but the actual account owner or prospective students did not immediately change the password.

As a result, Ganjar continued, there are individuals who take advantage of this opportunity to log into the accounts of other prospective students and change the data that has been entered.

"There is data from Telkom that helped us, we were able to trace it and it was confirmed that there was no hack, but because the password was found out," said the PDI-P politician.

Another evaluation is related to the empty quota in several schools in the 2022/2023 PPDB and for this finding, Ganjar said he would wait until the end of the PPDB process, which is the last day of re-registration on Thursday.

"Waiting until tomorrow whether it will be full they can enter the re-registration, if no one enters, I suggest filling it in," he said.

The results of the mapping, continued Ganjar, there are still many underprivileged students who have not received school so there is an option that they will be prioritized to fill the void in the quota.

In addition, two systems that are planned as solutions are also being developed, namely adding schools or changing zoning lines and for that, Ganjar asked the call center to remain active to respond and explain complaints from prospective students.

"The evaluation until today is like that, so I ask that the call center is still alive so that later people who feel that they have been harmed we can provide correct information," he said.

A total of 216,107 students or 99.25 percent of the capacity were accepted through the implementation of new student admissions (PPDB) at the SMA/SMK level for the 2022/2023 academic year in Central Java.
