Gathering, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin Asks SMSI To Guard Prosecutors' Performance

JAKARTA - Attorney General ST Burhanuddin asked the media members of the Indonesian Cyber Media Union (SMSI) to help the Attorney General's Office to oversee the performance of the Prosecutor.

"The one who carries out the supervisory task here is the Supervision Assistant, and the human resources are limited, therefore we ask the media (SMSI members) to also supervise the prosecutor's performance," said Attorney General ST Burhanuddin when receiving the Central SMSI Management led by the General Chair. Firdaus at the Jakarta Attorney General's Roundabout (6 July 2022).

Also accompanying Firdaus were Central SMSI Advisor Ervik Ari Susanto, Chairman of the Cyber Media Editorial Forum Bernadus Wilson Lumi and SMSI Public Relations Wisnu. From the ranks of the Attorney General's Office, it seemed that DKI Jakarta Attorney General's Office Reda Manthovani, Head of Penkum Penkum AGO Ketut Sumedana, Assistant General Kuntadi, SH were present. and Special Assistant Hendro Dewanto, SH.

Furthermore, the Attorney General also said that the work carried out by the Attorney General's Office needs to be informed to the public. This is in accordance with President Jokowi's directives to him.

"According to the President's direction, the work carried out by the Attorney General's Office also needs to be conveyed to the public, so that the public will know what has been done," continued Burhanuddin.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of SMSI Firdaus expressed his gratitude for the time given by the Attorney General to SMSI.

"We thank you for the time given by the Attorney General. We also want to convey appreciation from all members of SMSI to the Attorney General for the achievements and performance of the Attorney General's Office in uncovering major corruption cases, securing state money, especially making the media as partners for prosecutors to report the results of the prosecutor's work to the public," said Firdaus.

This meeting of the Central SMSI Management to the Attorney General is in the context of implementing the work program and preparing for the National Leadership Meeting

The Indonesian Cyber Media Union (SMSI) will be held on 21-23 July 2022.

Furthermore, Firdaus also appreciated Attorney General Burhanuddin for encouraging sustainable journalism. "The Attorney General Mr. Prof. Dr. ST Burhanuddin, SH.,MM also participated in encouraging sustainable journalism by helping to build study rooms, prayer rooms and public kitchens at the Journalist Boarding school (JBS) Cilegon, for that we thank you and express our appreciation as high as possible," said the chairman of SMSI Firdaus.
